Fishing for Kahawai at the Wairau Diversion river mouth

The next day was one out of the box. 28 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The Wairau Diversion can be an hot exposed plain with a drying wind. Any sign of yesterdays rain has disappeared. There were a lot of fishermen at the bar last night and more today. Seems a very popular spot with the locals. Had a chat with Cymen one of the founders of www.rankers.co.nz last night. Good to see someone running with a good idea and making a success of it.
