Invasion of the Killer Weka

Sitting at Whatamango (10 kms North East of Picton,) I was visited by a mother Weka and 4 of her offspring. She was very caring and didn’t just gobble any crusts like the local ducks, but held it in her mouth so they could take it from her. I did not know they make a sound like hitting a lump of wood with a hammer.

Currently sitting in the van with the door shut to keep the buggers out. First there was one and then they were inside all over the cab and the back window and getting trapped in strange places. Give them an inch and they take a mile. There is a tap, tap on the closed door as I am typing this.

If video is jerky because you have a slow connection, either reduce the resolution or hit pause and wait until the video has downloaded a bit more then hit play.
