Sheltering at Rangiputa

Was at Ramp Road when the wind moved around to the East and was forecast to reach 35 Knots. Decided to go the 25 Kms to Rangiputa which is sheltered from the Easterlies and stay on a bit of DOC land. Stayed there three nights with my sister Colleen and bro-in-law Arthur in their new (to them) Traillite. We were snuggled up in under the hill and spent a very sheltered few days. Much better than Rock and Rolling broadside to the wind at Ramp Road.
